You Can Help
The REACH Centre Grey Bruce is a registered charity CN#748721693RC0001. We serve exceptional youth & young adults with Down Syndrome, Autism, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and other developmental and intellectual disabilities. We believe everyone has gifts to share and we embrace diversity!
Our inclusive approach focuses on fostering skill acquisition, independence and self advocacy.
As a local charity that receives no government funding, we rely on our community to be able to deliver quality programming. Everything you give goes 100% into program delivery.

New Facility for REACH Centre
We are working on raising funds for a new home for the REACH Centre. We have a growing wait list and we have been gifted the former Grey Granite Club as the potential future home of the program. With over 5,000 ft2 the new location is walking distance for participants to all our community partnerships and social enterprise projects. The vision is to create a fully accessible community hub that would celebrate individual gifts. There would be a commercial kitchen that looks residential, a creative art expressions room full of natural light where participants can use different mediums to find their voice, a recreational fitness area, a library and IT lab, a sensory space and a small cafe & gift shop that would be run as a social enterprise in support of program participants gaining labour market experience and explore entrepreneurial opportunities for financial independence.
To fully maximize the utilization of the new facility, our hope is to partner with other local charities to share the space.
We have a team of amazing local experts on board in support of our vision! Please help us make this dream a reality.
The Jones Family Respite Fund exists today because Dorothy wanted any money left in their estate after their daughter Donna’s passing to support other families facing the same challenges that they did. Donna had Down Syndrome but was a vibrate part of her community. Dorothy and Morris would have been astonished to know that the sale of their little home on Cranberry Lake would be the foundation of something as necessary and worthwhile as this emergency respite fund.
